Ex-Pak Test bowler Akram leaves Sussex

London:Former Pakistan Test paceman Mohammad Akram left his Country Sussex midway through his two-year contract because of domestic problems.

The tall quickie, who had signed for Sussex the 2004 and 2005 seasons had a pretty good run with the cherry last season, scalping took 43 wickets at an average of 33.74.

The right-arm bowler cited family reasons for his desire to continue his cricketing career elsewhere, Sussex sources said.
