For the record, Bangladesh have only won five of its 95 limited-overs contests, and out of that, only two of those have come against top-notch outfits.
The powers-that-be have decided to introduce a Twenty20 tournament wherein twelve teams would participate in the a tournament beginning 15 October.
The format will be on the lines of the Twenty20 Cup in England, which has been a roaring success as cricket fans throng to see these matches, which are always high-scoring ones.
"We haven't made fared well in One-day cricket. We hope the pressure of scoring fast in the new tournament will help us find some big hitters," a Bangladesh cricket Board official said here.
