Announcing this at a press briefing here, the BCB said that the upcoming two Test series would be named the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Test Cricket Series.
The first of the two Test match series will kick-start at the Bangabandhu National Stadium from October19. The second and final Test will be held at the MA Aziz Stadium, Chittagong from October 26.
Though BCB officials were tight-lipped about the money pumped in by the five-star hotel to bag the sponsorship rights, it was learnt that the deal was inked with the five-star hotel just weeks ago.
Further, the BCB intimated that the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel would be Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)'s official hospitality partner for next 19 months with the latter agreeing to provide accommodation at a lower rate.
The Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel will provide free accommodation for the Test series. That apart, they will also provide catering in the hospitality boxes, dressing rooms and the press box.
However, the BCB, however, will bear accommodation expenses of both teams in Chittagong.
