Dhaka:Serving a stern warning to the non-performers in the team, Bangadesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Ali Asghar has said that the ensuing international engagements against New Zealand, India and Zimbabwe would be a litmus test for the Tigers, who have been going through a horror run in recent times.

The BCB chief let this known at a meeting, which was attended by chief selector Faruque Ahmed, coach Dav Whatmore, team operations manager MA Latif Khan, BCB advisor and media committee chairman Reazuddin Al Mamun, captain Habibul Bashar and his deputy Rajin Saleh.

BCB sources said that the meeting was convened apparently to make the team management realise that it was time the national side start turning over a new leaf in order to keep the interest level of the game alive in the country.

Realizing that there had been a lot of negative campaign being carried out against the Bangladesh Tigers on the internation circuit, the meeting also dwelt on the poor performance of the Tigers in ODI tourneys.

The meeting further discussed collapses suffered by the Bangladeshi batsman with increased regularity in the shorter version of the game.
