Dhaka:Bangladesh right-handed batsman Shahriar Hossain has decided to quit from international cricket following his inclusion in the national pool for the upcoming premier division cricket league.

Hossain handed over a letter of resignation to the Bangladesh Cricket Board as he thought it was impossible to pursue an international career for personal reasons. The Bangladesh cricketer was apparently unhappy at being named in the 19-member pool, which would prevent him from playing in lucrative domestic club cricket.

The 28-year-old right-hander played three Tests including the inaugural match against India. He made 362 runs in 20 one-day internationals for the Tigers.
