Faisalabad:Pakistan fast bowler Mohammed Sami is likely to miss the crucial second Test against Sri Lanka at Karachi after pulling a groin muscle.

The 22-year-old quickie, who snared 4-71 in Sri Lanka's first innings, did not take the field on the fourth day of the first Test.

The right-arm bowler Sami has badly strained his inner groin muscle and doctors say he will need about seven to eight days for a recovery. Sami is likely to be replaced by either Naved-ul-Hasan or Riaz Afridi, neither of whom have played Test match cricket.
