The Commissioner also asked a first board of trustees, comprising 25 members (15 representatives from district cricket associations and 10 members from Pune), to takeover the management of the association.
"The existing managing committee is directed to hand over the charge of management of the association into the hands of the first board of trustees duly appointed under the scheme vide this order forthwith and now the function of the existing managing committee is freezed with effect from today", Zodge had said in his order passed yesterday.
When contacted, former MCA secretary Anant Mate told PTI tonight that "it is an order by the deputy charity commissioner and we would abide by it."
Meanwhile, Balasaheb Thorve, one of the members of the newly-named first board of trustees-cum-managing committee, said: "in accordance with the order delivered by Zodge, the existing managing committee of the MCA is abolished and the first board of trustees has been brought into existence from today."
Of the 25 members named in the first board of trustees, 18 were present in the MCA office during the taking over of the charge of the administration today, Thorve said.
