Wellington:Middle-order batsman Craig McMillan, who was dropped for the just-concluded tour of Bangladesh once again found himself out of favour with the selectors as they announced 14-member squad for the two-Test series tour of Australia.

Rookie batsman Hamish Marshall, who was preferred ahead of McMillan for the Bangladesh tour once made the cut at the expense of the seasoned batsman.

Opener Mathew Sinclair who made a comeback to the side on the tour of Bangladesh retained his spot after a decent outing in Bangladesh.

Regular skipper Stephen Fleming, who made way for Daniel Vettori to lead the Kiwis in the One-day series will return to the fold. New Zealand play Australia at the Gabba from November 18-22 and at the Adelaide Oval from November 26-30.

New Zealand squad:

Mark Richardson, Mathew Sinclair, Stephen Fleming (capt), Scott Styris, Nathan Astle, Hamish Marshall, Jacob Oram, Brendan McCullum (wk), Daniel Vettori, James Franklin, Kyle Mills, Paul Wiseman, Ian Butler, Chris Martin.
