Dhaka:Illustrious West Indies cricketer Clive Lloyd arrived in Dhaka today on a five-day visit to inspect four new cricket stadiums in the country eagerly waiting for recognition as international venues.

The bespectacled former West Indies captain, now an International Cricket Council (ICC) Match Referee, will assess all the four venues before submitting a report to the game's governing body.

Lloyd will first visit the Fatullah Stadium on the outskirts of the capital today and then inspect the newly-built Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra, which came in for copious praise from the ICC officials during the Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Besides flying to Chittagong to examine the Divisional Stadium, which has been prepared exclusively for cricket, Lloyd will then visit the Khulna Stadium on November 8.
