Kambli to lead Mumbai against Madhya Pradesh

Mumbai:Test discard Vinod Kambli will lead the Ranji champions Mumbai in the second league match of the Ranji Trophy (Elite Group) cricket match against Madhya Pradesh to be held at Wankhede Stadium here from November 16.

Indian paceman Ajit Agarkar will be Kambli's deputy while Vinayak Samant will be the wicketkeeper, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) joint secretary Prof Ratnakar Shetty said here today.

"Kambli will lead in this match as leg-spinner Sairaj Bahutule, who led Mumbai in their first league match against Railways at Delhi recently, will be leading the Board President's XI against the visiting South Africans in a three-day match at Jaipur from November 14-16," Shetty added.

The team: Vinod Kambli (capt), Ajit Agarkar (vice-capt), Wasim Jaffer, Vinayak Mane, Amol Muzumdar, Vinit Indulkar, Vinayak Samant (WK), Nilesh Kulkarni, Bhavin Thakkar, Swapnil Hazare, Santosh Shinde, Wilkin Mota, Abhijeet Shetye, Usman Malvi and Nishit Shetty.
