Patna:India should play aggressively against South Africa to get back on the winning track in the two-match Test series that began on Saturday at Kanpur, former Indian Skipper Mohammed Azharuddin said.

"Play aggressively instead of performing under pressure. We have the talents and I am sure India will bounce back winning the matches," Azharuddin told a press conference after an inter-school cricket tournament here.

Describing as "right decision" of playing with three spinners in Kanpur, he said "India remained heavily dependent on spinners as they have done miracle in the past. Moreover, Murali Karthik and Anil Kumble are performing well."

On the performance of Sachin Tendulkar, Azharuddin said "we can't expect too much from Sachin as he has just come back from the injury. It will take some time for him to settle down."

"Sachin is undoubtedly a great batsman," he said.

Azharuddin parried a question on the possibility of his return to Indian team. "But I am still practicing," he said.

He refused to comment on the ICC's decision slapping two-match suspension on skipper Saurav Ganguly for slow bowling rate.
