New Delhi:Senior Indian stars Anil Kumble has expressed his anguish at being ignored for an upcoming one-day series in Bangladesh.

"I don't want to sit and watch a one-day international. I want to be playing in the eleven," Kumble told The Hindu daily.

Kumble, 34, who holds the Indian Test record of 434 wickets jointly with legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev, was "rested" along with Laxman for three one-dayers in Bangladesh starting December 23.

The Indian board announced the team on Thursday saying Kumble was not keen to play while Laxman had been dropped because his fielding was not up to the mark for one-dayers.
