Dujon named Jamaican coaching director

Kingston:Former West Indies wicketkeeper Jeffrey Dujon has been named as Jamaica's national coaching director.

According to Jamaica Cricket Association officials, the veteran gloveman will supervise coaching across the island, with stress on the under-15 level.

Considered one of the best wicketkeeper-batsmen to play the game, the 49-year-old Dujon, will also work with Jamaican senior team coach Robert Haynes and with the chairman of the senior selection panel, Ruddy Williams.

The stylish right-handed batsman made his debut against Australia in 1981 and amassed 3,322 runs in 81 Tests including five centuries. Dujon also snared 265 catches.
