Zimb team's arrival in Bangladesh delayed

Dhaka:The touring Zimbabwean cricket team's arrival in the Bangladeshi capital was delayed following transport disruptions in India following the devastating tsunami over the weekend, BCB sources said.

According Bangladesh cricket board sources, the Zimbabwean squad was unable to get a connecting flight to Calcutta to get to Dhaka and are expected to reach Dhaka on Wednesday morning.

Zimbabwe, who are slated to play two Tests and five One-day international during the month-long tour, kickstart the tour with a three-day tour match against a BCB XI in port city of Chittagong on Saturday.

The first Test starts in Chittagong from January 6. The second Test match will be held in Dhaka from January 14.

The One-day series begins with the opening ODI on January 20 at Dhaka. Chittagong will host the second and third ODIs on January 24 and 26. The final two One-dayers, both day-night affairs, will be held in Dhaka on January 29 and 31.
