Kolkata:Skipper Sourav Ganguly will hit the roads to collect relief and funds for the thousands of tsuanmi victims in the country.

"Sourav will collect relief materials and funds for the victims of the disaster. He'll take active part in collecting funds both in Kolkata and outside," West Bengal Municipal Affairs minister Ashok Bhattacharya said at a function in the presence of the Indian cricket team captain here today.

Ganguly and all other members of the team have already decided to contribute one-day's earnings to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for tsunami victims.

Test stars-cum-television commentators Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and Arun Lal have also announced that they would contribute a day's earning to the fund.

The Indian Cricket Players' Association has also decided to hold a fund raiser -- either a charity cricket match or a dinner -- to raise more money for the relief fund.
