Melbourne:Sri Lanka skipper Marvan Atapattu has withdrawn from Monday's International Cricket Council's fundraising match for tsunami victims to care for his two sick children.

According to Sri Lankan cricket board sources, Atapattu was scheduled to leave this morning but has decided to stay back to be with his two children after they were hospitalised last night.

Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan, Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara and Chaminda Vaas are the other Sri Lankans, who will all play for an Asian XI against a World XI in a limited-overs match at MCG on Monday.
