London:Determined to pocket the women's World Cup for the first time since 1993, the English selectors have decided to bank on the current crop of players, who played in the 2004 home series against New Zealand.

The squad includes veteran seam bowler Clare Taylor, who will be playing in her sixth World Cup - five in cricket and one in football.

Yorkshire's Katherine Brunt is the only player in the 15-member squad, who is yet to make her ODI debut. Brunt, however, made Test debut in last summer's one-off Test against New Zealand at Scarborough.

England squad: C Connor (capt), R Birch, A Brindle, K Brunt, C Edwards, L Greenway, I Guha, J Gunn, B Morgan, L Newton, L Pearson, N Shaw, J Smit, Claire Taylor, C Taylor.
