Rajkot:Middle order batsman Mayank Tehlan's responsible century enabled Delhi make a healthy 264 for four on the first day of their four-day Cooch Behar Under-19 cricket final against Uttar Pradesh here today.

Electing to bat, Delhi failed to get off to a good start as they were reduced to 81 for three.

But Tehlan (105, 13x4) came to the rescue of his team and added 171 runs for the fourth wicket with his captain G Chhabra.

However, soon after finishing his century, Tehlan gave a simple return catch to bowler Chawla.

Chhabra remained unbeaten on well-made 83 (11x4). Giving company to Chhabra at draw of stumps was Rahul Dewan (4).

Brief Score: Delhi 264 for 4 in 94 overs (M Tehlan 105, G Chabra batting 83) vs Uttar Pradesh.
