Hobart:Former Australian Test cricket batsman David Boon said on Monday he would consider taking on another epic trip for charity just 24 hours after completing a marathon 650-kilometre (400-mile) walk from Melbourne to Hobart in his home state of Tasmania. Boon and wife Pip completed the three-week walk on Sunday, raising more than $410,000 for research into leukemia and other cancers.

Boon and his former team-mates Allan Border and Dean Jones have now between them walked from Brisbane in Queensland to Hobart for charity over the past three years.

Speaking at a charity golf day, Boon said he would consider another walk to help raise money.

"We would like to continue and for it to become traditional throughout the states if we possibly could," he said.

"Without letting anything out of the bag, we've talked and started looking at ways and means that we might be able to move it throughout South Australia and Western Australia to go right around the country, so we'll see how that goes," he said.
