KIOC leave for three-week Australia tour

Bangalore:The Karnataka Institute of Cricket will embark on a three-week tour of Australia from the January 22.

A reputed cricket institute of the state, K I O C has made it an annual feature of taking its academy lads aborad. The academy boys have already visited Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka in the past couple of years where they played against the Universities, schools and clubs.

Spurred by the success of the earlier tours, K I O C director Irfan Sait, has planned eight days of coaching under the former Australian captain Graham Yallop in Melbourne and Brian Booth in Sydney.

According to Sait, fast bowlers Dilip Sagar and Anas Mullah will have expert sessions with Len Pascoe. The boys will also play a number of matches in Melbourne and Sydney.

The K I O C lads will play against Trevor Chappell's KingSchool, Newington College, Victoria Development Squad, East Ivanhoe Cricket Club, Park Dale Cricket Club, Sydney Colts and Endeavour Hills Cricket Academy.

The touring team is : Syed Ibrez ( Captain ), S P Mahesh, Anas Mullah, Nishil S. Potdar, Dilip Sagar, Nishanth Singh Shekhawat, Syed Mohsin, S V P Sumanth, Ranjit Kumar, Abhishek B G , Hanumantha Raju , Manoj Kumar, Irfan Sait ( Coach ) and K Muralidhar (Manager).
