Islamabad:Pakistan will discuss with India its reservations over playing in Ahmedabad on the forthcoming tour at the Asian Cricket Council meeting in Dubai on January 30.

A top Pakistan Cricket Board official said venues for the three Tests and five One-Day Internationals would be discussed when the officials of the two Boards meet in Dubai.

"The Chief Patron of PCB, President General Pervez Musharraf has made his views about the coming tour very clear to us. He wants us to finalise everything while maintaining our cordial relations with the Indian Board," PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan was quoted as saying in local daily 'The News'.

"Until now the main issue between the two Boards has been security related. When India visited Pakistan last year they had some security concerns, which we addressed. Similarly for the coming tour we are focussing on the security and logistical arrangements at every venue," Shaharyar said.

"We don't want any political overtones to enter into our discussions with the Indian Board and we are confident they will also try to accommodate our point of view. But, yes, as far as Ahmedabad is concerned - for Pakistan there is a political overtone over playing there and we have to address that with the cooperation of BCCI," Shaharyar said.
