Adelaide:Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has rubbished reports that he could quit as Pakistan captain before the tour to India, which begins next month.

According to an Australian newspaper Inzamam was "uncertain" about whether to carry on as captain after stinging criticism of his leadership.

The burly right-hander said his contract with PCB runs until the West Indies tour.

"My contract runs until the Windies tour (in May). I will be captain until then." He said his boys were working hard and would give its best shot in the upcoming games.

"The boys are really working hard. We have not been performing as well as we would have liked but there is shortage of effort from our side. We will try to turn things around in the upcoming matches," he said.

Inzamam is Pakistan's most experienced player, having appeared in 97 Tests and 331 one-day internationals. His record as skipper is a bit of a mixed bag. He has notched three wins out of nine in Tests, and 21 wins out of 43 in the ODIs.
