Ahmedabad:The two-member venue assessment and security team from Pakistan today thoroughly inspected all facilities at the Sardar Patel stadium at Motera, a probable venue for the upcoming series against the neighbouring nation but remained mum on their observations.

The members, Zakir Khan, General Manager (Operations) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sohail Khan, SSP (Lahore), accompanied by senior Gujarat police officials andGuajrat Cricket Association (GCA) members thoroughly inspected the stadium premises, including facility for net practice, player's accomodation etc.

Wishing to remain tightlipped about their observations on the facilities provided at Motera, Zakir Khan told awaiting mediapersons that "we are here to only inspect each and everyfacility at the stadium, player's security arrangements and their accomodation. We will be submitting a report to the PCB at the earliest which will decide on the venues".

To a question if the team was 'satisfied' with the arrangements here as they were in Bangalore, the PCB official said, "I was misquoted (by media) in Bangalore. I only saidthat we were happy with the facilities but it was presented as if we had approved it as a venue".

On being asked if Ahmedabad's communal factor would be a matter of concern while chosing it as a venue, the official said, "this is not at all an issue as far as we are concerned. We are here to look into cricket related issues and arrangements".
