Wellington:New Zealand cricket authorities have effected a slight alteration in the Australian team's itinerary shifted a scheduled one-day international against Australia from Hamilton because of a poor pitch.

The decision to withdraw the March 2 game from Hamilton was taken after seeing the sub-standard behavior of the Westpac Park strip during the recent World XI -NZ game where World XI were bowled out for 81 in 20.5 overs and New Zealand lost six wickets in 15 overs in reply.

The March two game will be stage at either Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington's Basin Reserve, NZC sources said.
