Vadodara:Fresh from their upset defeat at the hands of Central Zone, star-studded North Zone face auphill task in their next Deodhar Trophy Limited overs cricket league match against West Zone sans their allrounder Irfan Pathan to be played here tomorrow.

West Zone, led by India seamer Ajit Agarkar, need just a victory to win the coveted trophy as they already have ten points from two matches while North, captained by the dashingbatsman Virender Sehwag, have five points from two matches.

Though Irfan Pathan has been ruled out of this match, the inclusion of his new ball partner Zaheer Khan has added more sting to their bowling attack which has already tested teamslike defending champions East Zone and South Zone earlier.

Allrounder Ranjit Khirid, seamer Siddharth Trivedi, spinners Rajesh Pawar, Yusuf Pathan, Niraj Pathan and the skipper himself have all bowled economically so far.

Agarkar will be looking for runs from his batting main stays Satyajit Parab and Dhiraj Jadhav while at the same time hoping that the other two out-of-form batsmen Vinayak Mane and Amol Muzumdar strike form soon.

Sehwag will be hoping that their star players like Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Ajay Jadeja, wicketkeeper Ajay Ratra, Harbhajan Singh and Ashish Nehra strike form at the earliest while their in-form players including Sehwag, Dinesh Mongia, Mithun Manhas and Amit Bhandari continue with their good forms they have shown in the earlier matches.

This is also a benefit match for former Ranji player Mukesh Narulla and Doordarshan have decided to telecast the match live.
