New Delhi:The two-member security assessment team of Pakistan today inspected the under-construction Feroz Shah Kotla ground, slated to host one of the Indo-Pak cricket One-dayers in April.

The team, comprising Zakir Khan, General Manager (Operations) of Pakistan Cricket Board and Sohail Khan, SSP, Lahore, did not look too happy with the state of the ground but stopped short of making any adverse comment.

"The situation as it is at the moment, I hope this will be completed in time," said Zakir Khan who was briefed by the groundsmen in the absence of DDCA officials who were apparently not expecting the team to visit the ground.

"But definitely, we will discuss this with BCCI. If they guarantee that it will be ready in time, we will have to believe them," he said.

The Pakistan cricket team is expected to arrive on February 25 to play three Tests and five one-day internationals, the dates and venues of which are yet to be finalised.
