Muralitharan out for eight weeks

Colombo:Sri Lanka's champion off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan will be out of international cricket for further two months following the second operation on his right shoulder in five months in Melbourne on Monday.

According to sources close to Muralitharan, there has been a tear in his muscle for which the operation had to be carried out. The injury is likely to keep him out of action for eight weeks.
