Jamnagar:Having suffered a major setback in their previous match against North Zone, runners-up West Zone must win their last limited-overs league cricket match against Central Zone tomorrow to lift the Deodhar Trophy.

West, who are leading the points tally with 10 points, including two bonus points, have a clear edge over Central Zone, who are coming after shocking a star-studded North with some heroic batting by skipper Mohammed Kaif, to take their points tally to four.

West's skipper Ajit Agarkar will be hoping that his in-form opening pair of Satyajit Parab and Dheeraj Jadhav will give his team a solid start like they did against East in their opening tie.

However, their middle order batsmen like Vinayak Mane, Amol Muzumdar, Niraj Patel, Test-discard Parthiv Patel and Yusuf Pathan have not been able to come up with big scores and this could be a cause of concern for the skipper.

There bowling revolves around seamers Siddharth Trivedi, Zaheer Khan, Agarkar, allrounder Ranjit Khirid and spinners Rajesh Pawar and Niraj Patel.

If Irfan Pathan, who is a doubtful starter due to injury, is included then Khirid is likely to sit out of the match.

Central Zone, who suffered unexpected four-wicket defeat after making 346 runs against East Zone at Rajkot, will hope some good performance from their in-form batsmen Kaif, Sanjay Bangar, Amit Pagnis, Naman Ojha, Suresh Naina, Abbas Ali and all rounder J P in this match as well.
