Kapil to organise celebrity walk for tsunami victims

New Delhi:After doing his bit in raising $2 million through a charity match in Mumbai recently, former India cricket captain Kapil Dev will organise a celebrity walk on Sunday to raise more money for tsunami victims.

The walk is being organized by, an NGO called Khushii founded by Kapil Dev. Titled 'Light for Life', the much-hyped walk would see celebrities would walk with torches from the Lodi Gardens to Claridges Hotel, where the donations would be made, particularly for the badly hit Tharangambadi village in Nagappattinam district in Tamil Nadu.

Bollywood's leading lights like Jackie Shroff, Javed Jaffrey, Farhaan Akhtar, Malaika Arora, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, members of Parliament Sandeep Dikshit, Ajay Maken and Jatin Prasad and Sachin Pilot, Delhi Minister of Power Haroon Yusuf, politician Salam Khursheed and entrepreneur Vandana Luthra are expected to take part in the walk.
