Focus on green strips ahead of England tour

Dhaka:The Bangladesh cricket team have a tough tour of England coming up in May and keeping that in mind, its cricket board- Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to offer green-top pitches in the ongoing sixth Ispahani Tea National Cricket League (NCL) which offers a platform for the players to prepare for the challenge ahead.

The only first class competition of the country, the NCL, is a four-day affair with matches being held at three different venues across the country.

According to BCB sources, except for the venues at Barisal and Sylhet, all the other grounds will have grass-tinged strips.
