Agartala:Mayank Tehlan spun his spinning web around the England Under-19 batsmen claiming a five-wicket haul to pave the way for their second successive victory in the second match of the five-match under-19 ODI series at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Stadium here.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, the visitors found runs hard to come by as the Indian spinners spearheaded by Tehlan teased and tormented England on a slow turning strip as they folded up for a measly 169 off 48.5 overs. Gaurav Dhiman picked up two wickets while Shanbaz Nadeem and skipper Manoj Tiwari grabbed one wicket each.

Only skipper Steven Davies, was able to defy the Indian attack to some extent as he top-scored with 22, which included three boundaries.

Chasing 170 for victory, the Indian colts made a heavy weather of the chase as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Debutant Ankit Rawat, spared the Indian blushes as he scored a painstaking 69 off 110 balls which proved to be the difference between an Indian victory and English defeat

UP's Ravi Kant Shukla chipped in with a handy 32, hitting three boundaries and two sixes.

India lead 2-0 in the five-match series.
