London:Former dashing New Zealand batsman Mark Greatbatch is all set to become Warwickshire's new cricket academy director.

The aggressive left-hander, who was a phenomenal success in the 1992 World Cup where he revolutionalized the concept of big-hitting in the first fifthteen overs, scored over 2,000 runs in 41 Tests, including a debut century against England at Auckland in 1988.

According to Warwickshire sources, Greatbach impressed the interview panel most and was picked for the post.
