Police book Delhi unit Shiv Sena chief

Mohali:Punjab Police today registered a case against Shiv Sena's Delhi unit president Jai Bhagwan Goyal, claiming that he was the "mastermind" behind yesterday's incident at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) ground here..

DIG, Ludhiana Range, Praj Jain said that a case had been registered against Goyal under section 120-B (conspiracy).

He said that police would seek arrest warrant against Goyal.

A handful of Shiv Sena activists had caused "very minor damage" to the pitch at PCA ground which is scheduled to host the first Test between arch rivals India and Pakistan next month.

Six Shiv Sen activists were arrested in connection with the incident yesterday.
