Chandigarh:In a veiled threat, All India Anti-Terrorist Front on Friday sought a ban on the entry of former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad in India following reports of his son's alleged engagement to daughter of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

"If ever Miandad enters India, the Front will take its own course of action to stop him. The Front warns the Indian Government that Miandad should never be allowed to enter into India," a press release issued by the Front said.

The Front was reacting to last month's media reports from Karachi pointing out that Dawood's daughter would be married to Miandad's son.

Dawood is one of the main accused in 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai and wanted by Indian police.

However, according to media reports, Miandad, when asked about his son's marriage to Dawood's daughter had refused to make any comment on the issue.
