Kolkata:The India under-19 team displayed all round superiority to steamroll England the under-19 boys team by ten wickets and clinch the one day cricket series on Saturday.

After restricting the visitors to a paltry 174/9 in 50 overs, the Indians rode on a brilliant unseparated opening wicket partnership between S Srikant (88 not out; 111m, 74b, 13x4, 3x6) and A Rawat (76 not out; 111m, 103b, 14x4) to reach 178 for no loss in only 29 overs.

India, who lost to England in the third match of the one day series on Friday, have now established an unbeaten 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

In the morning, the visitors had a trying time against the Indian slow bowlers after host skipper Manoj Tewari won the toss and elected to field at Eden Gardens.

J Denley was the top scorer (80; 150m, 129b, 7x4) for the England colts, who found the Indian spinners R Sharma (3/34), Tewari (2/28) and S Nadeem (2/29) too hot to handle.

Brief score:

England U-19 : 174/9 in 50 overs (J Denley 80; R Sharma 3/34)

India U-19: 178/0 in 29 overs (A Srikant not out 88, A Rawat not out 76)
