Hyderabad:Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday to take part in the Duleep Trophy match to be held at the Visakha stadium in Hyderabad from February 22.

Tendulkar, who had a tennis elbow giving rise to speculation whether or not he will play the first class match ahead of the Pakistan series, drove straight from Begumpet Airport to his hotel room and refused to speak to the media.

The star studded high voltage Duleep Trophy between West Zone and South Zone (led by Rahul Dravid) would also serve as a testing ground for the venue for hosting internationals in the days to come.

"Most of the West Zone players have come. Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble will come later," Hyderabad Cricket Assocaition (HCA) official said.

The practice schedule, the official said, was not yet finalised and it is for the respective team managements to decide and the ground is free and available.
