Moles announces 24-member Scotland squad

Edinburgh:Scotland's new coach Andy Moles has named a 24-man squad for the upcoming international and Totesport League programme. The squad includes four players with county contracts - Dougie Brown, John Blain, Gavin Hamilton and Kyle Coetzer.

Scotland's will concentrate mainly on the ICC Trophy tournament in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in July where they will be angling to win one of five qualifying places for the 2005 World Cup.

The team will kickoff the summer by travelling south next month for warm-up games against Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire.

Scotland squad: Asim Butt, Richard Berrington, John Blain, Dougie Brown, James Brinkley, Kyle Coetzer, Shaun Coetzer, Cedric English, Gordon Goudie, Gavin Hamilton, Majid Haq, Paul Hoffman, Steven Knox, Dougie Lockhart, Gregor Maiden, Dewald Nel, Colin Smith, Simon Smith, Ian Stanger, Ryan Watson, Fraser Watts, Greig Williamson, Craig Wright, Yasir Arafat.
