Govt dissolves Sri Lankan cricket board

Colombo:In a significant development, the Sri Lankan government has dissolved the nation's cricket board for the third time in six years after complaints about financial irregularities in the functioning of the board.

Sports minister Jeevan Kumaratunga said an interim six-man committee had been constituted to carry out its duties after the board found to be in the dock following complaints about financial mismanagement.
