Edwards focused on World Cup win

Pretoria:England's seasoned batswoman Charlotte Edwards is focused on scaling new heights after becoming countyry's leading One-day run-scorer during the 214-run pasting of Sri Lanka.

A veteran of 65 ODIs, Edwards who is playing her third World Cup, surpassed illustrious Jan Brittin's feat of 2,178 runs during her knock of 63 on Thursday.

"Jan was a very special player and it is a privilege to head the record table with someone like that," she told BBC Sports in an interview.

"Records are great, but she won a World Cup too and that's my main aim in the next few weeks." she added.

England take on Ireland in their next match at Eesterust on Saturday.
