Moratuwa:Pakistan 'A' authored a confidence-boosting 114 run win over England 'A' ahead of the final of the three nation tri-series tournament here. Set 240 for victory, England 'A' were never in the hunt as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were shot out for 125 off 34.3 overs.

Richard Dawson top-scored for England 'A' with 28 even as wickets tumbled around him. Paul Franks weighted in with 23. Imran Tahir was the pick of the Pakistan 'A' bowlers claiming 3 for 32. Mohammad Asif, Abdur Rauf and Ashar Zaidi bagged two wickets each.

Earlier, Faisal Athar blasted a fine undefeated century to steer Pakistan 'A' to 239 for three off their allotted fifty overs against England 'A' in the tri-series match at Moratuwa.

Athar formed the fulcrum of the Pakistan innings as he raised a 168-run stand with Aamer Bashir who scored 65 to give the men in green the ascendancy.

The loss means that England 'A' are out of the competition paving the way for a final between 'A' sides of Pakistan and hosts Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
