Pakistan beat India by one run in deaf tourney

Lahore:Pakistan scripted a stirring one run win over India to go 2-0 up in the ongoing five-match deaf cricket series at the Iqbal Stadium, here.

Chasing 163 to win, Pakistan overhauled the target losing nine wickets in only 38.3 overs. Bilal Aslam top-scored for Pakistan with 32. For India, offie Virbhadra Rahood snaffled four wickets for 39 while leg-spinner Virender Singh took two wickets for 18.

Earleir, batting first Virender hit 52 to help India manage a score of 162 before being all out. Vinay Seghal chipped in with 36.

Mohammad Shakeel, Naeem Beg, Zaka Ahmad (2-45) and Naveed Ashraf bagged two wickets apiece. The third match is scheduled to be held in Peshawar on Monday.
