Bright may replace Border in selection panel

Sydney:Victorian and former Australian Test spinner Ray Bright looks the firm favourite to join the Trevor Hohns-headed four main national selection panel after the resignation of former Australia captain Allan Border.

Border, however, will continue to offer his services as a Director of Queensland Cricket and CA and also maintain his media duties as a Fox Sports expert -

The 50-year-old Bright, who appeared in 25 Tests for Australiaa looks set to join Hohns, former Australian opener and Tasmania's David Boon and South Australia's Andrew Hilditch on the panel.

Tom Hogan a former left-arm spinner and a veteran of seven Tests, is also tipped to become Western Australia's first national selector since Geoff Marsh stepped down in 2000.
