Sydney:Legendary former Australian gloveman Rod Marsh has emerged as the front-runner to take over from Ray Jennings as coach of the South Africa team, as the latter is certain to be replaced after the conclusion of the West Indies tour next month.
Marsh made his stand clear months ago that he would leave his position at the English Academy when his contract ended in September. But the decks were cleared for him to accept the coach job of the South African team after Peter Moores was named as his academy replacement last week.
