London:England's ace woman new ball bowler Lucy Pearson has decided to call it a day from all forms of cricket. The 33-year-old bowler, who is also serving as a teacher at Solihull School in the West Midlands, had an impressive international career since making her debut in 1996 against New Zealand.

Pearson was at her menancing best in 2003 she picked up 11 scalps in a Test match against powerhouse Australia - a feat which had been performed only once before.

She missed out on the World Cup semi-final tie against Australia because of a stress injury in her left ankle. Pearson appeared in 12 Tests for England and had a bowling average of 29.36. In One-day internationals, her average was 22.97.
