Mumbai:Decks were cleared for former India cricket captain Nari Contractor to contest for the post of vice-president in the Mumbai Cricket Association(MCA) elections.

The 72-year-old cricketer whose nomination was disqualified after his seconder, a former jt hon secretary Mayank Khandwala happened to be defaulter of the MCA, got the final go-ahead after MCA president and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar intervened to facilitate his entry into the fray.
