Sri Lankan batsmen plunder Zimbabwe ~~A~~ attack

Harare:Mahela Jayawardene slammed am impressive century while Thilan Samaraweera and Kumar Sangakkara missed their hundreds narrowly as Sri Lanka maintained a vice-like grip over Zimbabwe 'A' on day two of the four-day tour game here.

Jayawardene led the run feast with an authoritative century clubbing 113 from only 106 balls, studded with 17 fours and a six. Thilan Samaraweera and Kumar Sangakkara both fell in the nervous nineties scoring 97 and 95 respectively.

The visitors were eventually bowled out for 461 in reply to Zimbabwe 'A' first innings score of 294.

Batting in their second essay, Zimbabwe 'A' made a disastrous beginning losing Stuart Matsikenyeri as the hosts limped to 28 for 1 at stumps. They still trail Sri Lanka by 167 runs.
