Tikolo made a triumphant return to the captaincy by leading Kenya to a morale-boosting 161-run win in the ICC Intercontinental Cup over regional rivals Uganda in Kampala last weekend.
"I will be leaving on Wednesday for Lancashire. I am excited with the prospect of playing the game in a new environment and under different conditions," said Tikolo on Monday.
But the 33-year-old batsman said he would return to play for the country in the rescheduled Intercontinental Cup tie against Namibia in Windhoek on June 4-6.
The match was originally planned to be played in February but was called off following the uncertainty over the governorship of the sport the country.
