PCB to finalise Asia Cup itinerary in ACC meet

Karachi:The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB would finalise the itinerary for the next Asia Cup tournament slated to be held in Pakistan in February-March 2006 at the forthcoming annual executive council meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in Kuala Lumpur on May 11.

It is likely that PCB chief Shaharyar Khan will attend the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in which Pakistan would confirmations from all the participating nations about the dates for the Asia Cup.

According to PCB sources, besides India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and hosts Pakistan, two nations from the associate members-UAE and Hong Kong would confirm their participation.

It may be mentioned here that Pakistan has never hosted the Asia Cup tournament since its inception in 1984.The last edition was held in Sri Lanka last year in July-August and was won by hosts Sri Lanka.
