Townsville:Bangladesh under-19 cricketers' winning streak on their tour of Australia came to an end when when they tied their seventh match against Regional QAS Squad at the Brothers CC ground here.

The tourists, who recorded six wins on the trot, batted first and were packed out for 179 in 42 overs.

Opener Raqibul Hassan for top-scored for Bangladesh Under-19 with a fine half-century. He fell for a exactly fifty. He received good support from Nazmul Hossain and Marshall Ayub both of whom nipped in with contributions of 29 and 27 respectively.

Regional QAS rode on opener Schumacher's solid 53 and he was ably supported by Schloss (74) to provide the home side a rollicking start but the middle-order crumbled as they huffed and puffed their way to 179 for six in the stipulated 50 overs.

The match was set for a tight finish. Needing 9 runs off the last over, the local side went about things well abd required three off the last ball, but they only managed 2 as the match ended in a tie and but at least the home side were able to snap the winning sequence of the visitors.
