London:The International Cricket Council (ICC) would recognise the Interim Committee appointed by the Sri Lankan government as the lawfully appointed body to conduct the affairs of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), stated a release.

This was after the SLC office-bearers were dissolved by the Sri Lankan sports minister for alleged financial irregularities. An Interim Committee was constituted by the government with Jayantha Dharmadasa as chairman, and Tryphon Mirando as secretary, stated a release signed by ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed.
